Maxti is built on a simple principle: your data belongs to you. This policy explains exactly what we collect, why, and what we don't touch.
The App
Maxti is a local-first desktop application. All your work data — sessions, domains, tasks, and time logs — is stored exclusively on your device. None of it is sent to our servers or any third party.
Maxti does not require an account, does not sync to the cloud, and does not phone home with usage telemetry or analytics of any kind.
Website Analytics
This website uses GoatCounter for anonymous, aggregate traffic analytics. GoatCounter is open-source, cookieless, and collects no personally identifiable information. It records only page views, referrer URLs, browser type, and approximate country — never your IP address, and never anything tied to you as an individual.
No tracking pixels, no ad networks, no fingerprinting.
Purchasing a License
When you purchase a license, checkout is handled entirely by Stripe, a PCI-compliant payment processor. We never see, store, or have access to your credit card number or any payment details. Stripe's privacy policy governs how your payment information is handled.
We receive from Stripe only what's necessary to issue your license: the email address you provide at checkout and a transaction reference. We store this on our licensing server to:
- Deliver your license key by email
- Verify your license when you activate the app
- Process refunds or disputes if they arise
We do not sell, share, or use your email address for marketing.
License Activation
When you activate Maxti, the app contacts our licensing server to verify your license key. This request includes your license key and a device identifier generated locally on your machine. No other personal data is transmitted.
After successful activation, the app may periodically re-verify your license in the background. These requests contain only your license key and device identifier.
Cookies
This website does not use cookies. GoatCounter analytics are cookieless by design. The Stripe checkout flow, which opens on Stripe's domain, may set cookies governed by Stripe's own privacy policy.
Data Retention
License records are retained as long as necessary to honor your license and comply with legal obligations (e.g. tax records). If you request deletion of your email address from our licensing records, contact us at support@maxti.app and we will remove it within 30 days, provided it does not affect your ability to activate or verify your license.
